if we continue our life here in nyc instead of leaving for greener pastures (i.e. the suburbs), i'm pretty positive that a kitchen nook is as close as i'll ever get to having a formal dining room. luckily, i love a good nook. nooks are the cutest.
joe would never go for that rug. but we're not talking about his dream nook, we're talking about mine.
we actually have that table from ikea. we're currently placing our bums on four silver metal tabouret chairs which we- surprisingly- both love. one day, i'd like to switch them out and in their place add upholstered chairs in a fun printed fabric. an upgrade, if you will. and as far as wall color, my friend has a navy dining room and i find it super chic. so, i'd totally copy her and have navy walls. navy grasscloth perhaps? yes. navy grasscloth it is!
and for a final touch, i'd add some gold flatware. because everyone needs gold flatware.
joe will dislike that, too.
